Legends: The Skyladder (Jackson December)

 

 In the land of Calikea, calamity stirs once more. Over four centuries ago, a great Alchemist twisted the continent into an image of unity, ending the Forge War and bringing a tide of peace across the many nations. Now, the cracks are beginning to open wide. In Garuna, where the deepest known evils are kept in a milky white cage above the clouds, a shackled voice beckons to an old friend.

              A human mage, with nothing but his studies and inventions, has bested Garuna’s champion, and taken his ancient treasure. His timing, nearly uncanny, as just weeks prior, the city’s Warden and Queen have both gone missing, leaving the city open for attack. In the cloud city of Garuna, one thing has always been certain, if you were not invited, you are trespassing. The cloud city has broken out into an all out battle between the mage and his allies, and the Aasimar citizens who guard Garuna with their lives. Will there be enough time to save the city when their strongest warriors are already missing? Heroes must rise to join the frey before it’s too late.

-          Find the Sky Ladder : at the peak of the Noelock Mountains, and climb to Garuna, city of the clouds, to recover the Wings of Parak, Aasimar guardian of the skies.

-          The Wings of the Phoenix have been clipped, and now the one who soars with them threatens to send Garuna crashing down. 

-          With usual means of reaching the cloud city of Garuna off the table, courageous and resourceful heroes must rise up to find a way in. On the night of the summer solstice, it is said that another gateway opens. An arcane bridge takes shape atop the Flicker Cliffs of the Noelock Mountains, paving the road ahead, into the sky, towards the cloud city of Garuna.

-          Recent news has led most outsiders to believe that the city is falling quickly, that the mage’s overwhelming prowess has been too much to take. With the majority of nearby heroes tied in a separate conflict, others must turn their attention to the skies and do what they can to keep Calikea safe.

An Inspired Original World : The setting of this campaign is entirely the invention of the DM , Jackson Stenborg. Inspired by Critical Role, Lord of the Rings, Fullmetal Alchemist, Legend of Zelda, the Chronicles of Narnia, His Dark Materials, A Wrinkle in Time, Ghibli Films like Castle in the Sky and Tales from Earthsea.
