Intro to Comic Creation and Design: (ages 8+) Sequential Artwork is an art form that conveys a story through graphics and visuals in a sequence. Comics are one of the most widely recognized forms of sequential artwork. This genre of work also includes storyboarding, instruction manuals, and graphic novels, which will be touched upon in this series of classes. In this course, we will learn basic comic-making/sequential artwork fundamentals over the span of eight classes. Beginners and experienced artists alike are all welcome to join.
Advanced Comics and Sequential Artwork Course: The advanced sequential arts course is designed to build upon basic fundamentals and introduce more complex concepts that enhance visual storytelling and artistic expression. While referencing techniques from Intro and Intermediate courses, more advanced techniques will be introduced and expectations for final works will be higher. Additionally, there will be more formal critique work, and feedback will be applied through re-drawing previous projects to create Portolio-ready works.
