Brain Benders (Grades K-1):
Designed for children aged 5 to 7, this series introduces strategic thinking through classic games that promote mathematical concepts, working memory, and perceptual organization. Participants will enjoy outwitting and out-strategizing opponents while practicing good sportsmanship. Games may include Mancala, Look Look, Mine Shift, Qwirkle, and more.

Mind Masters (Grades 2-4):
For children aged 7 to 9, Mind Masters is ideal for those who have completed Brain Benders or have a strong interest in strategic games. Players will delve into deeper strategies and develop multidimensional thinking through games like 7 Wonders, Settlers of Catan, and Dragonwood.

Strategy Specialists (Grades 4-6):
This series is for children aged 9 to 11 who have completed Mind Masters or demonstrate a keen interest in strategy games. Players will sharpen their strategic thinking and sportsmanship through games such as Settlers of Catan, Splendor, and Ticket to Ride.

Intermediate Magic:
Perfect for those who have basic knowledge of Magic: The Gathering and are ready to take their gameplay to the next level. Players will explore intermediate strategies and deepen their understanding of deck-building, card synergy, and competitive play.

RPG Intermediate:
This class introduces students to the world of role-playing games (RPGs), where they will learn the basics of character creation, storytelling, and collaborative gameplay. It’s the perfect starting point for those who are new to RPGs or looking to explore different systems.

RPG Creation and Design:
This class is designed for students interested in creating their own role-playing games. Participants will learn the fundamentals of game mechanics, world-building, and character design, culminating in the development of their own unique RPG system. Students will have the opportunity to test their games and receive feedback from peers and instructors.

Portfolio Design Class (Ages 13–17):
This class is designed for aspiring artists who are preparing their portfolios for art school applications, gallery submissions, or personal development. Tailored for teens aged 13 to 17, this small-group program provides focused guidance to help students refine their artistic skills, select their strongest works, and present their portfolios in a professional and compelling manner. With personalized feedback and hands-on support, participants will develop a cohesive and polished portfolio that showcases their unique talent and creative vision. This program is offered as an add-on for an additional fee to ensure individualized attention and specialized development.

Sterling Semi-Private D&D Game:
This exciting semi-private Dungeons & Dragons campaign features four returning players from Sterling School, all in the fourth grade. They will continue their epic adventure from the fall season, building on the characters and stories they've developed together. The ongoing campaign offers a unique opportunity for players to deepen their teamwork, problem-solving, and creative storytelling skills. If you're interested in learning more about this semi-private game or have any questions, please contact us at [email protected].

Private Chess Lesson (3:30pm): Eric Fleischman, our resident lifetime master chess pro, offers one-on-one private chess lessons during the winter season. His lessons are tailored to help students of all skill levels improve their strategic thinking and gameplay. For those booking his 3:30 PM slot, school pickup options are available, providing added convenience for parents. Additional lesson times are available after 3:30 PM, though these do not include the school pickup option. Secure your slot with Eric to take your chess game to the next level this winter.
